The Next Journy Story
It Started With Wanting to See More
I’ve always been drawn to what’s next.
The next place. The next experience. The next view I haven’t seen yet.
Growing up and living in Seattle, I’ve been lucky to have the Pacific Northwest as my backyard. Mountains, water, forests, cities, coastlines — there’s always somewhere new to go and something worth seeing.
Somewhere along the way, I started bringing a camera with me.
At first, photography was simply a way to capture the places I was going and the things I was experiencing. I wanted to remember a trip the way it actually felt — not just where I went, but the small moments in between.
The light coming through the trees.
A city waking up early in the morning.
The view after a long hike.
Friends laughing when nobody knew the camera was pointed at them.
Those moments were what made me want to keep shooting.
And over time, photography became something much bigger than just taking pictures.
We’ll take your ideas, style, and goals and turn them into a clear creative direction. Together, we’ll plan the details, location, and overall feel so everything comes together with purpose.
BUILD THE CONCEPT
Learning to See Differently
The more I photographed, the more I started paying attention.
I noticed light differently.
I noticed landscapes differently.
I started looking for perspectives other people might walk past.
Photography taught me that there’s a story happening almost everywhere — you just have to slow down long enough to notice it.
That idea became a big part of how I approach everything I create.
I don’t want to just take a technically good photo.
I want an image to make you feel like you were there.
I want you to wonder what happened before the frame and what happened after it.
I want every frame to tell a story.
From Seattle to Wherever Comes Next
Seattle and the Pacific Northwest will always be a huge part of my story.
There’s something about living here that constantly pushes you outside. You can spend the morning in the city, drive a couple hours, and suddenly be surrounded by mountains, alpine lakes, coastline, or forests.
That environment helped shape the way I see adventure.
Adventure doesn’t always have to mean flying across the world.
Sometimes it’s taking a different road home.
Sometimes it’s waking up before sunrise.
Sometimes it’s saying yes to something you normally wouldn’t.
And sometimes it does mean getting on a plane with a camera and seeing where you end up.
As I started traveling more, I realized how much I loved documenting those experiences.
Different cities.
Different countries.
Different people.
Different ways of life.
There is an enormous world outside of the routine we build for ourselves, and I want to experience as much of it as I can.
That became one of the biggest inspirations behind Next Journy.
Why “Next Journy”?
Next Journy is built around a simple idea:
There is always something next.
Another place to explore.
Another story to tell.
Another person to meet.
Another version of yourself you haven’t become yet.
The spelling is intentional.
To me, a journey isn’t supposed to be perfect.
It isn’t a straight line.
You change directions. You make mistakes. Plans fall apart. Opportunities appear that you never expected.
And sometimes the best parts happen when things don’t go exactly the way you imagined.
Next Journy represents embracing that.
It’s about being curious enough to keep going.
More Than Photography
Photography is where Next Journy started, but I don’t want it to end there.
I want Next Journy to become a creative and adventure-driven brand built around experiences.
Photography.
Film.
Travel.
Stories.
Clothing.
Prints.
Creative projects.
And eventually, a community of people who share the same mindset.
People who want to see more of the world.
People who want to create something.
People who are willing to take the trip, start the idea, chase the opportunity, or go somewhere they’ve never been before.
I want the things we create to remind people of that.
A print on your wall should take you somewhere.
A shirt should mean more than just a logo.
A photograph should make you want to experience the moment yourself.
Everything should connect back to the same idea:
Keep exploring.
What I’m Chasing
I have a lot of dreams for where this can go.
I want to travel the world creating photographs and films that tell meaningful stories.
I want to work with brands, athletes, travelers, businesses, and other creators.
I want to photograph places I’ve dreamed about seeing since I was a kid.
I want to build projects that allow me to create for a living.
I want Next Journy products to end up in places I’ve never been, worn and used by people I’ve never met.
I want to create work that makes someone want to pick up a camera.
Book the flight.
Take the road trip.
Go on the hike.
Start the business.
Try something different.
But one of my biggest goals is simply freedom.
Freedom to create.
Freedom to travel.
Freedom to choose what the next chapter looks like instead of always following the expected path.
That’s what I’m working toward.
This Is Just the Beginning
I don’t know exactly where Next Journy will take me.
And I think that’s what makes it exciting.
There are places I haven’t seen yet.
Photos I haven’t taken.
Stories I haven’t heard.
People I haven’t met.
Ideas I haven’t thought of.
Somewhere out there is another mountain, another city, another road, another experience waiting to become part of the story.
So this isn’t really an About page.
It’s the beginning of a much longer journey.
